About Aurora
Aurora grew out of research across machine learning, biomedical informatics, computational pathology and spatial biology in Zurich and Basel.
We are building new ways to explore the tissue researchers already have — with the same attention to quality, responsibility and openness that shaped the research environment behind Aurora.
From research to Aurora
Our work builds on research from the Biomedical Informatics Group at ETH Zurich and the Computational and Translational Pathology Lab at the University of Zurich and the University of Basel.
That environment continues to shape how we work: rigorous science, careful attention to detail, clear communication and continuous improvement.
How we work
Quality
We care about the details — from the research behind our models to how results are presented and understood.
Responsibility
Research data deserves careful handling. Privacy and security are considered throughout Aurora, and predicted information is kept clearly distinct from experimental measurements.
Openness
We communicate clearly about how Aurora works and publish the research behind our methods so it can be examined by the scientific community.
